The proof that it's real.
Krest turns your iPhone into a trustworthy witness: every capture is signed by the Secure Enclave and anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain — independently verifiable, account-less, no tracking.
Three tiers, one architecture
Device-Native Trust: Secure Element → Bitcoin. No middleman.
Verified
Photo/video straight from the camera, signed by the Secure Element at the moment of capture.
Anchored
Any file hashed and bound in time to Bitcoin — the file never leaves your device.
Fortress
Multi-signature groups with several hardware Secure Elements for shared proofs.
How it works
- CaptureImage, sensor data and timestamp are signed inside the device's Secure Element.
- AnchorThe hash is written into the Bitcoin blockchain within minutes via OP_RETURN.
- VerifyAnyone can reproduce the chain signature → Merkle → Bitcoin — without our servers.
Binary, no probabilities
Content is verified or it isn't — no confidence scores, no “probably real”. “Unverified” does not mean “fake”, only “unproven”.
Privacy by design
Open protocol
Protocol, wire format and verify algorithms are open source under the MIT license. Any third party can reproduce the full trust path — without asking us. Source on GitHub.
