FAQ
Why is my edited photo not shown as “verified”?
Krest requires bit-exactness. Any change (crop, filter, re-compression) permanently invalidates verification — by design.
Do I need an account?
No. Krest works without an account and without tracking.
Does Krest see my photos?
No. Media bytes stay on the device; the relay sees only hashes, the share relay only encrypted data. See Privacy.
How do I verify someone else's content?
Via the Verify tab in the app or the public web verifier — the check runs locally against Bitcoin.
